A new start under the sign of the sun
Starting July 1, 2025, ten casino venues across Lower Saxony—including those in Hanover, Wolfsburg, Braunschweig, Osnabrück, Göttingen, Seevetal, Bad Bentheim, Bad Pyrmont, Bad Zwischenahn, and Norderney—have officially joined the MERKUR group.Lower Saxony – in Bad Bentheim, Bad Pyrmont, Bad Zwischenahn, Braunschweig, Göttingen, Hanover, Norderney, Osnabrück, Seevetal and Wolfsburg – have been part of the large MERKUR family.
This transition follows MERKUR's successful bid for the state casino license in November 2023. After resolving a legal conflict with the former operator through an out-of-court settlement and receiving the green light from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance, the takeover is now complete.
